1. EHMA 2023 Conference in Rome on 5.-7.6.2023 - Abstraktien hakuaikaa jatkettu 17.2.2023
Dear EHMA friend,
The European Health Management Association (EHMA) Annual Conference - EHMA 2023 will be held on 5-7 June 2023 in Rome, Italy in partnership with our member ALTEMS, Catholic University of Sacred Heart.
We are currently inviting abstract submitters to submit their research on this year's theme Health management: sustainable solutions for complex systems. The deadline is Friday 17 February 2023 at 17.00 CET.
We are reaching out to you for your kind assistance in disseminating our call for abstracts within your organisation and network.
The conference will provide health managers and leaders with a high-level forum to share evidence and best practices to excel in health systems amidst the current global environment. As health systems manage burdens from inflation, war, and climate change, the importance of sustainable solutions for health system viability requires deeper analysis.
Various healthcare stakeholders will gather – health managers and leaders, healthcare professionals, hospital managers, researchers, academics and policymakers - and explore challenges and solutions for creating sustainable health systems.
The EHMA Conference is a great platform to showcase cutting-edge research, share provocative ideas and discuss complex problems with a view to reaching implementable solutions. We have the chance to amplify the voice of health managers and researchers even more and ensure that future health policies are informed by the latest evidence-based research.
Tracks and topics
Abstract should address the overarching conference theme as well as one of this year's tracks and topics. More information about the call for abstracts, tracks and topics can be found here.
The submission deadline is Friday 17 February 2023 at 17.00 CET via https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/5011/submitter and information on submission guidelines can be found here.

2. 10th EuHEA PhD & Supervisor Conference in Bologna on 7.-8.9.2023
The Department of Economics of the University of Bologna is proud to host the 10th EuHEA PhD & Supervisor Conference, to be held in Bologna on September 7-8, 2023
The PhD & Supervisor conference presents a valuable opportunity for PhD students and early career researchers in the field of health economics to present their on-going research and receive important feedback from colleagues with expertise in their field of study.
A specific feature of the EuHEA PhD & Supervisor conference is that all presented papers will be discussed by another student's supervisor. This format and the friendly working environment make this conference an excellent place to gain new insights, get feedback and network with peers. Good Italian food and the charm of Bologna nicely complement the picture!

5. Health Economics Theory for Empirical Economists: Modelling the Demand for and Supply of Health Services 26.4.2023
The EuHEA Early Career Committee is pleased to announce a virtual training course for Ph.D. students and Early Career Researchers on Health Economics theory, titled "Health Economics Theory for Empirical Economists: Modelling the Demand for and Supply of Health Services".
This course will be led by Professor Luigi Siciliani from the University of York. The course will be delivered virtually via Zoom on the 26th of April 2023, from 10:00 to 13:00 (Central European Time).
The course is free, with a maximum limit of 300 online participants.
