CINCH-dggö Summer School in Health Economics

CINCH-dggö Summer School in Health Economics will take place in Essen from August 30th to September 4th, 2026.
The summer school is jointly organised by CINCH, the national research centre for health economics at the University of Duisburg-Essen, and the dggö, the German Society for Health Economics. The main goal of the summer school is to bring together a group of junior and senior researchers to share an intensive week of research presentations, lectures, special sessions, and panel discussions.
The summer School will have two lecturers: Andrew Goodman-Bacon on "Causal policy analysis” and Sayeh Nickpay on the "economics of health insurance".
In addition, there will be presentations from 21 researchers, including seven invited senior speakers as well as 21 early career researchers. Each paper presentation will be followed by a discussant-led discussion. There will be four special sessions including a "Meet the editor" session with Tatyana Deryugina, co-editor at American Economic Review: Insights and Professor of Finance at the University of Illinois.
